Getting Started
Droplx is a room-based file sharing platform that lets you send files instantly with controlled access — without requiring setup.
You create a room, invite others, and share files live within that space.
No — you can use Droplx without an account by creating a temporary room.
An account is only required for permanent rooms.

- Upload files and set access options
Files will appear instantly for participants in the room.
Rooms & Access
A temporary room:
- lasts between 5 to 60 minutes
- does not require login
- automatically clears files after the session
A permanent room:
- requires login
- stays active until you delete it
- can be reused for ongoing sharing
Users can join using:
- a unique link
- a 6-digit code
- a QR code
Yes. You can:
- allow or deny entry
- remove participants from the room
File Sharing & Controls
You can send most common file types, with a limit of 100MB per file.
You can configure:
- view once access
- download permissions
- print visibility (within app)
- auto-delete timing
Files marked as “view once” are intended to be accessed a single time per participant within the room.
After being viewed, they are no longer available.
Droplx provides controls within the platform.
However, external actions such as:
- screenshots
- screen recording
- system-level copying
may still be possible.
File Storage & Deletion
No.
Files are:
- temporarily stored in encrypted form
- automatically deleted after their lifecycle ends
Files are removed when:
- the room timer expires
- the host closes the room
- the sender leaves (in certain cases)
- or viewing conditions are completed
No. Once files are deleted, they cannot be recovered.
Privacy & Security
Droplx uses encrypted transfer and temporary storage to reduce unauthorized access.
However, no system can guarantee complete protection from user-side actions after access.
No.
Droplx does not scan or analyze file content for advertising or profiling.
We collect limited metadata such as:
- device and browser information
- IP address
- session activity
- file metadata (name, size, type)

Device-to-Device Sharing
Yes.
You can:
- create a room on one device
- join from another device
- transfer files instantly
If Droplx is installed as an app (PWA):
- you can share files directly using your device's share option
- send them into an active room
Beta & Limitations
Droplx is designed to provide controlled sharing, but it does not guarantee complete prevention of copying or redistribution.
Droplx is currently in beta.
Some features (like download or print restrictions) are still being improved and may not be fully enforceable in all cases.
